Our Western Balkans Alumni Association (WBAA) participated in the 8th #Ministerial Meeting of the Western Balkans Platform on Education and Training ( #WBPET)!
It was a multimodal utilisation of efforts to portray WBAA's upwards direction to the European Commission, the WB ministries, relevant policy-makers and stakeholders in higher education.
Personally, I would like to point out the round-chair discussion with Mr. Tibor Navracsics, European #commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport and Mrs. Antoaneta ANGELOVA-KRASTEVA, Director, #Directorate-General for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, European Commission and Mrs. Besa Shahini, Ministry of #Education, Sports and Youth in Albania where we had the opportunity to give both personal and collective input to a discussion of how to proceed with our engagements for improved Western Balkans.
Mr. Navracsics referred to us in WBAA and in general, the WB alumni, as 'our closest allies' in terms of European principles and mindset, which is a compliment and a responsibility at the same time.
As per country chapters, we received dedicated time of Ministries of #Education, discussing with our ministry Mr. Arber Ademi and his cabinet, receiving full support, and tracing few actionable steps for 2019.
